Project Description:

Goals of gift funding: Macys funds will enable 2,000 participants including children with disabilities and their families to attend 20 disability-friendly events, and enable key personnel to perform the following tasks: Research industry trends and best practices in the respective field; consult with leadership from organizations to get buy-in and discuss priorities; perform accessibility scan of venue with focus on physical, cognitive, and social inclusion; develop visual supports; develop training materials and activities; conduct and evaluate family trainings and staff trainings; provide behavioral support during events; evaluate events; continue to consult with organization to improve access and inclusion efforts; and disseminate program.
