Project Description:
UMKC-UCEDD staff have partnered with Children's Mercy Research Institute and The Transition Academy, a local organization that works with students and families with disabilities to effectively navigate the health and educational systems. This project engages patients, parents, caregivers, health care providers, researchers, educators, faith, industry and community leaders who are impacted or serve the IDD community to identify a comprehensive PCOR agenda to address health disparities among Black youth and those from underserved communities with IDD.
