Autism as a Disorder of Synchronization of the Central and the Autonomic Nervous Systems
Project Description:
The current project is designed to address a significant knowledge gap, by collecting EEG and behavioral data, together with three ANS measures: pupillometry, electrocardiogram (ECG), and skin conductance response (SCR), and testing if brain oscillations and ANS activity interact with the environment to enhance perception and if ANS measures (ECG and SCR) are less synchronized in inter-personal interactions in ASD, and their relationship to clinically relevant characteristics.
