Project Description:
The proposed project has a focus in overcoming significant translational roadblocks for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (PWI/DD) in research and will potentially have a direct impact on health equity. Key strengths of the selected project, include its ability to: (1) address the significant translational barriers of study population diversity; (2) develop innovations with generalizable applicability to translational research; (3) advance our CTSA's goal to "deliver the benefits of translational science to all"; (4) promote the NIH goal to increase diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility for PWI/DD; (5) develop access pathways with nine other CTSA hubs; and (6) leverage E-M's existing research programs of excellence.
