Predictors of Provider Certainty When Referring for an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis Evaluation
Project Description:
As literature has shown that PCP's have a reported lack of self-efficacy in ASD surveillance, improving our understanding of patient characteristics and presentations that impact providers' decision to refer for an autism evaluation can provide important insight into the reach of the pilot. The objective is to examine which patient and family characteristics predict PCP's confidence in an ASD diagnosis when referring potential children for evaluations. Data analysis will be conducted upon the completion of data cleaning and coding for qualitative data.
