Project Description:
The Specialty Diagnostic Resource Clinic (SDRC) provides an opportunity for adults and families of children suspected of having prenatal exposure to alcohol or drugs to be evaluated, receive a diagnosis (if appropriate), and be provided with specific educational information for their family, service providers, and or school setting. The evaluation includes a comprehensive social history, speech-language evaluation, genetic counseling, and medical consultation provided by an APRN. When requested, follow-up training is often provided for school, provider. or child care staff to assist the families.
