Project Description:
The Rose F. Kennedy UCEDD in Bronx, New York, works to advance the lives of people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families in affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center. Consistent with the DD Act of 2020, its goals are to promote the health and well-being of persons with I/DD and their families through 1) Training- to enhance clinical and service system capacity via interdisciplinary pre-service preparation and continuing education, 2) Community Services- to promote independence and community integration through training and technical assistance (T & TA) and model services, 3) Research- that adds to the body of knowledge about increasing health and opportunities for persons with I/DD and that includes applied research, public policy analysis, and evaluation and 4) Information Dissemination- the production and sharing of accessible format content with relevance to persons with I/DD.
