Project Description:
The Confess Project (TCP) is "America's First Mental Health Barbershop Movement," which began in 2016 to meet this need. It equips Black men with knowledge, strategies, & coping skills to help them recognize and address MH issues by training Black barbers to be MH advocates and facilitate needed support to their clients. TCP is a barber-led intervention that centers around storytelling and peer support. The CLD is working to evaluate the effectiveness of this program in GA.
