Project Description:
Principal Investigator, PODER: Promoting Obesity prevention among Latino children with Developmental disabilities and families through Engaged Research. This is a 3-study grant examining obesity and health promotion among Latino children with IDD and their caregivers, and developing and testing an intervention for this target population. It is a Disability and Rehabilitation Research Project (DRRP) funded by NIDILRR.
Co-PI, ASD Screening and Parent ENgagement (ASPEN) intervention. The goal of this project is to examine the efficacy of the ASD Screening and Parent ENgagement (ASPEN) intervention, a culturally-informed parent-mediated intervention (PMI) delivered to caregivers and children at risk for ASD who reside in low-resource households. Funded by NIDILRR. My role subcontracted from Texas State University (Vanegas).
