Self-Advocate Resources for Reporting Abuse
Project Description:
UMKC-IHD will design, launch, and promote an accessible, self-advocate centric interpretation of the Missouri Adult Abuse and Neglect Investigation Systems flowchart. The chart would be used to empower and inform self-advocate survivors and their families during the investigations process. Scope of work includes:
1. Creating collateral material to be used in the investigation process for self-advocates. This will include digital and print media tools, including videos.
2. All materials will be produced in Spanish and consideration for any cultural differences accounted for in the presentation of Spanish materials.
3. Disseminate developed materials to stakeholders including, but not limited to, prosecutors, provider agencies, CILS, and other Missouri stakeholder groups.
4. Consult with self-advocates (not necessarily survivors only) in the development of resources to ensure optimum accessibility and relevance to lived-experiences.
