Project Description:
The Tarjan Center assists in building capacity at the California community colleges to support the academic access and full participation of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a manner that is equitable to students without disabilities, consistent with the mission of the college, and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations at the direction of the Chancellor's Office. The annual core tasks include: 1. Training • Conduct 20 training teleconferences with College to Career Coordinators, Job Developers and Educational Coaches at C2C programs • Conduct and archive 6 training webinars to California Community Colleges • Develop standardized set of training materials for new staff at C2C programs in the delivery of postsecondary education to students with developmental disabilities 2. Technical Assistance/Information Sharing • Provide technical assistance to eight C2C programs • Provide TA to up to 6 CA community colleges • Curate trends and content quarterly to the California Community Colleges • Curate trends and content quarterly to the C2C programs 3. Collaborative Meetings • Conduct one extended site review in collaboration with the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) • Plan and participate in two virtual June Statewide Meetings of C2C programs with DOR 4. C2C Program Evaluation and Reporting • Produce a C2C Profiles report • Conduct in-depth program evaluation of one college • Produce annual summary report of training and technical assistance
