Project Description:
The Ohio State University, Nisonger Center is conducting a national study with three main purposes: a) accurately estimate the national prevalence of mental health disorders among adults with intellectual disability (ID); b) pilot adapted study measures on mental and physical health and quality of life with adults with ID, and c) gather information from adults with ID on their general health needs and outcomes. As a collaborating institution in this national study, the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute at Wayne State University, will do the following: 1. Obtain and maintain IRB/SMART IRB approval 2. Recruit and coordinate key project staff (PI, Site Coordinator, Research Interviewers, and Student Assistant) 3. Ensure key project staff complete the required OSU/IRB training 4. Schedule and conduct interviews with fidelity to meet monthly/yearly study benchmarks 5. Monitor project operations and study progress 6. Communicate regularly on site progress with RRTC project staff at OSU through regular emails, conference calls, and virtual meetings, as requested
