Preparing MI Public Health Workers to Improve Health Outcomes for People with Disabilities
Project Description:
The Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute (MI-DDI) will conduct a needs assessment, provide a literature review, educate health care providers, coordinate a linkage demonstration project, identify and recruit adults with disabilities, identify accessible healthcare providers and community programs and provide a final report on lessons learned and best practices to improve access to health promotion programs for people with disabilities.
