Family Led Developmental Monitoring and Resiliency Support
Project Description:
This project will focus on supporting Healthy Families Home Visiting Program through the Mississippi Department of Human Services. Direct support and materials will be provided to expectant mothers and mothers of young children birth to 3 regarding building resiliency based on the protective factors set for by the Strengthening Families Framework. Further, direct training will be provided to 28 home visitors with a focus on parent-led developmental monitoring practices using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Learn the Signs. Act Early evidenced-based developmental monitoring materials. Families enrolled in the program live with 17 geographically rural counties in the north and south delta regions of the state and identify as being at risk of or below the federal poverty income range.
