Olmstead/DOJ Settlement Agreement
Project Description:
The Olmstead Supreme Court decision originated in Georgia, but our state has been slow to implement the requirement to transition people from institutions to the community. Georgia entered into a settlement agreement with the US DOJ focused on transitioning individuals to community homes. This project focuses on collaborating with the state DD network and others to address issues related to Olmstead implementation and the state's response to the requirements of the DOJ settlement agreement.
