Project Description:
Youth with emotional, behavioral or mental health needs continue to dropout of high school and have poor secondary tarnsition outcomes. Additionally, there are few if any services targeted to this population. Based upon previous demonstration and reserach projects, the Institute on Disability will train 60 mental health professionals in 10 agencies to provide an evicence-based model of secondary transition services, known as RENEW ("Rehabilitation for Empowerment, Natuiral Supports, Education, and Work), to450 adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders.
