Project Description:
Transition age youth in particular are receiving attention in disability policy discussions because there are difficulties transitioning young persons with disabilities from systems that supported them as children into adult educational systems, occupations, and other programs. This project will investigate whether type of disability and other characteristics, such as employment, education, and living arrangements, are associated with food insecurity for 18-25 year olds using data from the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) 2011-2013.
