Project Description:
Guam CEDDERS will provide technical support to the Guam Department of Education, Division of Special Education in meeting the individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for Guam Part B annual reporting requirements related to the Part B Grant Application, State Performance Plan (SPP)/Annual Performance Report (APR) and State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP). Facilitation of planning meetings with Special Education Part B administrators and staff and school Program Consultant to schedule meetings, work and consult on the SPP/APR and SSIP requirement due to the Department of Education (ED), and to include the requirements for public reporting as required by OSEP. Analyze and review Guam's IDEA progress data and information for each SPP/APR indicators, inclusive of SSIP, for determining compliance and performance measures of the Part B program. Development and analysis of the implementation of Guam Part B improvement activities identified in the SPP/AP and SSIP for determining how the activities supported meet compliance and performance measures for each Part B SPP/APR(LRE, Prerschool Clusters, Transitions Clusters) and SSIP (Indicator B17). Consultation on the prioritized improvement activities for Part B SPP/APR. Consultation on the technical qualities for the inclusion into the development of Guam's IDEA Part B SPP/APR and SSIP due to OSEP annually. Consultation on the revision of the Part B procedural safeguards and procedural manual to address assurance requirements on the Part B grant application. Conduct an annual survey of parent perceptions regarding Part B Program. Provide professional development services based on priorities established by Division of Special Education Part B program.
