Child Care Deserts. We will update the child care capacity data to examine change over time from 2019. Datasets from Child Care Aware® of Missouri, Head Start, school-based preK, regulated child care, and child care subsidy will be compared to determine an unduplicated count at the county level. Data will be reported by sector (e.g., community-based child care, Head Start/Early Head Start, school-based preK, family child care). We will also seek to estimate enrollment in order to examine the effects of the pandemic on child care availability. Home Visiting. We will conduct a comprehensive scan of home visiting programs to determine services provided at the county level. We will collaborate with Promise 1000, Generate Health, and other home visiting networks in Missouri to gather data. The analysis will examine home visiting programs by funding source (e.g., MIECHV, DESE, Title V, Head Start) and by program model (e.g., Parents as Teachers, other evidence-based, medical). Service delivery will be compared with statistics from the 2019 needs assessment.
