Project Description:
In August 2021, the University of New Hampshire Institute on Disability was awarded a one-year grant from the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD), in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Support for Early Childhood Systems through the Act Early Network to Support COVID-19 Recovery. Grant activities included working with a State Team to expand access to Ages and Stages Questionnaire training for staff (developmental screening), the distribution of Learn the Signs. Act Early materials to programs that work with young children, and the creation of a social media toolkit to help partners raise awareness in a consistent voice.
Betsy Humphreys, PhD of the UNH IOD and Jennifer Pineo, of New Hampshire Family Voices and NH's Learn the Signs Act Early Ambassador directed the work. The Watch Me Grow Steering Committee advised the project
