Peer Centered Crisis Response Training Development (ACBHC)
Project Description:
Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority project is a joint effort between The UAA School of Social Work, the UAA Human Services Program, the UAF Social Work Department, and the UAA Center for Human Development to begin to develop a simulation for Peer Support Specialists (PSSs) - a peer centered crisis intervention model, will develop and implement a training for supervisors for PSSs, and will allow for an organization and audit of existing trainings to better meet the needs of those seeking certification as advanced PSSs.
