Project Description:
DPHHS manages the Sexual Violence Prevention and Victim Services (SVPVS) program. The goal of Montana's SVPVS program has been to reduce the statewide incidence of sexual violence through primary prevention efforts focused on social norms work, teaching skills, supporting women and creating protective environments. SVPVS's primary funding is provided through the CDC's Rape Prevention Education (RPE) grant, a five-year project to support sexual violence prevention in Montana. The University of Montana is will be the lead evaluator for the RPE grant activities evaluation. This project funding currently flows through the Center for Children, Families, and Workforce Development at the University of Montana.
