Perseverative Thinking, Repetitive Behaviors, and Mental Health in Autistic Adults
Project Description:
This is a correlational research study looking to assess the relationships between perseverative thinking and repetitive behaviors with mental health outcomes (e.g. anxiety & depression) in autistic adults. This study builds off prior work completed by Keenan et al 2018. These constructs will be measured using psychometric scales such as the perseverative thinking questionnaire (PTQ) and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ). We are hoping to understand if perseverative thinking and/or repetitive behaviors act as mediators for mental health outcomes. This will be presented as a survey study where participants will be invited via online outlets.
