Project Description:
The Community Advocacy Council (CAC) consults with the Director of the CHD on the development of, and progress toward meeting, the goals in the 5-year plan. The majority of CAC's membership is people with developmental disabilities or parents of individuals with DD, and includes representation from ADD partners, as well as parent training and advocacy and service provider organizations. The CAC meets quarterly to review CHD activities and to be a resource to funded programs, meets several times a year for leadership development activities, and provides community based training as opportunities arise. Our CAC is led by liaison Alexis Reed.
