Project Description:
Disabled Empowerment in Higher Education Month 2021 (DEHEM21) is Disabled in Higher Education's month long celebration that seeks to empower disabled individuals across all of higher education. DEHEM launched originally in October 2020. The month long event consisted of several panel events - part of academic conferences and online on YouTube, talks with several disabled people across different fields and education levels in higher education, discussions with the community on topics pertaining to disability and higher education, and sharing resources on disability in education online via social media (i.e. Twitter and Instagram).
