Self-Advocate Capacity Building - Massachusetts
Project Description:
This project will support MA DDS in developing a sustainable strategy for building the capacity of self-advocates in Massachusetts to utilize and integrate the Charting the LifeCourse framework for planning, problem-solving, and decision making. UMKC-IHD staff will provide overview information to self-advocates and self-advocacy organizations/networks, and provide focused professional development, technical assistance and implementation support to self-advocate and self-advocacy organization/network trainers to identify opportunities to integrate CtLC into existing trainings and/or to develop new trainings or structures to support ongoing capacity building for self-advocates.
