ACS Vaccine Confidence Project: Regional Hubs work to promote vaccine outreach in local communities with a focus on outreach with DSPs
Project Description:
The goal of this project is to focus on identifying the barriers and facilitators of vaccine confidence with Direct Support Professionals. Once the barriers to vaccination are identified with the stakeholder input, collaboration partners will identify the most effective means of sharing evidence-based information that provides accessible, plain language materials and outreach efforts to culturally-specific populations, underserved rural populations, and that is provided in accessible formats to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. The collaborative will identify modes of information dissemination that meets the needs of the target populations and that is within the capacity of the partner organizations to disseminate to their constituents. The collaborative will develop educational materials about accessibility for vaccine distribution sites, including handouts, PPT presentations, and Public Service Announcements featuring DSPs and vaccination. The materials and resources will be reviewed by the Self Advocate Advisory committee for the project. ICI Communications department will assist in dissemination within the community.
