Project Description:

Rural Institute Evaluation Team will conduct a needs assessment to describe the current disease intervention specialist (DIS) workforce in Montana and identify specialized training needs. The needs assessment will be conducted through interviews and an online survey to 59 county and tribal public health departments. The survey will assess the DIS workforce needs of local agencies including, but not limited to, the number of DIS positions, number of vacancies, and training needs of DIS staff.
