Project Description:
The over-arching goal of the Interdisciplinary Graduate-level DD training Program is to improve quality of life for people with DD and their families by providing advanced training in interdisciplinary clinical, research and leadership skills necessary to improve health, systems of care delivery and community inclusion of people with DD. CEDD leverages the clinical and educational expertise at the MIND Institute and among CEDD partners, particularly those who represent both diverse interdisciplinary expertise as well as personal experience as a person with DD or family member, to provide interdisciplinary pre-service training and continuing education for students and professionals in medicine, allied health professions, education and educational administration.
Objectives: Provide culturally responsive training in serving persons with DD to students in medicine, nursing, special education, psychology, and related fields
