Evaluation of the Microgrant Partnership Programs

Center:
Fiscal Year:
2022
Contact Information:
Project Description:
This evaluation study will first examine the process through which Microgrant Partnership program applications are developed and submitted to better understand challenges that some people with disabilities may have to submitting proposals. We will then look at existing data to better understand the factors that are considered by microgrant reviewers when evaluating applications to ensure that this process results in equitable outcomes. A second phase of the grant will include refinement of the microgrant evaluation system and both pre- and post microgrant interviews with 2021-2022 awardees to determine proximal outcomes associated with funding. A second set of interviews will be undertaken with microgrant partnership alumni to better understand distal outcomes approximately 1-year following the end of their microgrant period. In a final phase of the project ArcGIS will be used with a small sample of microgrant recipients both prior to and immediately following their grants to better understand the potential qualitative changes that occur in the lives of participants after receiving a microgrant.
