CBI - Community Based Instruction
Project Description:
Community-Based Instruction is a critical component of a successful transition from school to adult life for many students with disabilities. With funding from the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE), Office of Special Education (OSE), Community Based Instruction (CBI) training and technical assistance efforts assist schools and school districts in providing instruction for students in the community. These efforts include: providing information to schools and districts through workshops, sharing successful efforts currently occurring in New Jersey schools districts, and offering direct technical assistance to schools and districts addressing CBI strategies, training needs, and necessary administrative supports. All activities are designed to create person-centered, positive, observable outcomes for students.
