Project Description:
Build capacity in every community in Hawaii, among schools, parents, and community organizations, so that all children thrive developmentally and academically. Through building infrastructure, policy development, capacity building, trainings and technical assistance, the HSFEC will engage in collaborative partnerships between the schools, families, and community. Using evidence-based research, that shows a positive relationship between family engagement and student success at all grade levels, a framework will be developed that is culturally relevant and tailored to fit the specific needs for all of Hawaii. The Hawaii Statewide Family Engagement Center will work to build capacity, provide resources, trainings and technical assistance, and collaborate with schools, families, and communities to improve the success of all students from birth through career.
