Child Health Education and Development
Project Description:
In collaboration with the United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA) the GUCCHD will develop a comprehensive early childhood training program to build the capacity of those interdisciplinary professionals who serve young children with disabilities in Azerbaijan. GU will provide the following services and supports in collaboration with United Aid for Azerbaijan to evolve the Child Health, Education, and Social Development Program (CHED):
Assistance in developing/evolving the curriculum and all materials for CHED, EI and further courses
Accessing new research and materials in order to review/update all the current modules
Supporting the development of an early intervention training program in collaboration with, GU School of Continuing Studies, and Baku State University
Supporting faculty development
Review pre & post self-assessment of CHED participants
Review portfolios of CHED participants
Two visits per year to Baku to meet with faculty regarding curriculum; make public presentations to attract interest; distribute certificates to participants; meet Government and academic bodies to discuss policy issues, training contracts and partnerships for expansion
