Project Description:
The CPD will develop a hybrid training curriculum and corresponding training modules for ICF staff to meet the unique needs of individuals under 22 who reside in ICFs. The scope and purpose of the training is to provide ICF staff information and resources about how to (a) facilitate informed choice and create meaningful opportunities to engage in integrated community settings and activities, (b) ensure the rights and privacy of ICF residents, and (c) improve transition planning and coordination of services and explain alternatives to guardianship, including supported decisions making. The training will consist of 5 self-paced, asynchronous (online) training modules followed by a 1.5-hour synchronous follow-up training. The live training can be offered via Zoom or in person.
