Project Description:
Idaho AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education), ID-AWARE, is a partnership between the State Department of Education, the grant recipient, and the Department of Health and Welfares Division of Behavioral Health. The goal of ID-AWARE is to expand the capacity of three identified school districts by increasing awareness of mental and behavioral health concerns among school-aged youth, providing training for school staff and community members to aid them in the identification and response to mental health concerns, and connecting students in need of behavioral health treatment and their families with the appropriate services. The Center on Disabilities and Human Development is contracted by ID-AWARE to design, develop and host an accessible website for the ID-AWARE project which also includes Idaho school mental health resources.
