Project Description:
Project Context The Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) is the technical assistance division of the Center for Persons with Disabilities at the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services at Utah State University. Project Focus TAESE will provide technical assistance for the South Dakota Department of Ed, Special Education Unit related to the following topics: 1. Orientation for State Special Education Advisory Panel. 2. Orientation for the Interagency Coordinating Council. 3. Provide revisions to their Special Education comprehensive plan. 4. Assist in developing a new results driven monitoring system. 5. Provide professional development for dispute resolution specialists. 6. Assist the SEA in developing LEA webinars on relevant topics. 7. Assist with the Great Northern Law Conference. 8. Assist with revising certain State Guidelines.
