MCH Telethealth Capacity for Public Health Systems: CARES Act Project
Project Description:
In conjunction with HRSA-EHDI Supplemental Award, contract with Guam Hearing Doctors (GHD) to provide follow-up on infants requiring hearing re-screening, including telehealth access for early intervention providers during visits: coordination of referrals for DAE; and locating families of infants who did not pass initial screen at birth during the pandemic and moving forward.
Provide families of infants newly identified ad Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) devices and wireless access, and activity toolkits to be used during audiology consultations: speech-language therapy; EIS services including virtual home visits; and family support meetings. Provide technical support/training on use of devises and platforms to families and service providers as needed.
Partner with Guam Systems for Assistive Technology (GSAT) on the Disablity Awareness/AT on Wheels project. Parner with Guam Positive Parents Together, Guam EIS, and other stakeholders to ensure activities are meeting the needs of families over the course of the project.
