Project Description:
The purpose of this intervention effectiveness study is to investigate the employment, self-determination, career adaptability and decision-making outcomes of a career design intervention implemented via telehealth. Additionally, we will study the cost-effectiveness of delivering the intervention via telehealth, which will help inform practice and policy decisions regarding adults with IDD on the waitlist for HCBS services. Specifically, this study will (a) examine the impact of interventions to promote employment, self-determination, career adaptability and decision-making outcomes for adults with IDD in rural areas and on waiting lists, and (b) examine the cost-effectiveness of the intervention delivery mechanisms, and (c) examine the feasibility of delivering the intervention via telehealth.
