Project Description:
NEED: The TCDS advocates for Texans with disabilities to be included and at the table when decisions are being made for and about them.
GOALS: The goals of the public services & policy engaged in by the TCDS are to ensure that people with disabilities are valued and included in all aspects of life, including when decisions are being made in committees and on boards. Our goal is to bring best practices and the disability perspective to these discussions.
FEATURES/BENEFITS: Public service & policy is something that all can and should participate in - to a level at which a person is comfortable. We encourage and support staff and community in this effort.
