City of Hudson Master Plan
Project Description:
Master plan for City of Hudson via planning consultant services. Hudson is a community of 22,000 founded in 1799 located halfway between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. With 20 parks, the City of Hudson offers 1,128 acres of active and passive recreation, as well as conservation and preservation. The Hudson Parks Master Plan was drafted in 2000, and nearly two decades later, our community has grown substantially and the way our residents recreate and utilize our parks has evolved over time. As a result, the Park Board is rewriting the Master Plan to ensure we are managing the Hudson Parks system in a way that matches our communitys wants and needs. The City of Hudson has hired ETC Institute to conduct both a random citizen survey and an open web survey to gather resident input through a formal surveyon park usage, likes and dislikes, unmet needs and balance among recreation pursuits and nature conservation.Hudson Parks is seeking a consulting firm to rewrite the Parks Master Plan to guide future priorities among active recreational facilities and natural conservation.
