Project Description:
The Educational Advocacy Project provides advocacy by acting as the surrogate parent for children with disabilities in state custody. All children in state custody receive educational advocacy through the Sherlock Center. (Per consent order, program caseload is defined as 15% of the total number of children active with DCYF between the ages of 2 ? and 21 years old.) About 1100 children each year receive this support. The project also provides training for foster families.
