Project Description:
CEDD provides continuing education courses on DD and support services to enable healthcare/education/other professionals to expand their knowledge base and stay up-to-date on new developments. These courses will offer CME (continuing medical education) or CEUs and will contribute to maintenance of professional credentials. Our primary venues for CME/CEU courses are our Annual Summer Institute on Neurodevelopmental Disorders and our monthly Hearts and Minds Series, an interdisciplinary forum for clinical case discussions and presentation/discussion of translational research and evidence based practices. Expected benefits: Trainees will increase their knowledge of DD and medical, legal, social and/or policy issues related to disabilities and, as a result, will provide higher quality services to people with DD.
