2.7.1.1 FACETS (FY 2019)
Families of Autistic Children Engaged Together for Support (FACETS) was started in the fall of 2007, by Autism mom extraordinaire, Miriam Aune. We are a parent run support group and our goal is to offer social opportunities, support, and educational resources for families of individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as for the Bryan-College Station community.
FACETS no longer holds monthly meetings. Instead, our families participate in monthly family trainings that are open to the community. For more information visit our Events page. Please note that these training events are only held during the school year.
Whether you are the parent, sibling, grandparent, or family friend of a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we are here to help support each other. New faces are always welcome. We are in this together and learn from each other. We welcome families of children with other diagnosis to join us. Many kids in our group have multiple diagnosis including SPD, OCD and ADD/ADHD.
For more information about FACETS or assistance locating resources to help your family, contact us at
[email protected]. You can also find FACETS on Facebook. Our website will be updated frequently, so please check back often for new information. Are you visiting our page because you are concerned with your child's development? Searching for guidance on where to have your child evaluated for a diagnosis?
