Project Description:
Supported Decision Making - An Alternative to Guardianship The ability to make ones own decisions is a cornerstone to good health. This project will educate people with I/DD, their families, supporters, caregivers, and the community about supported decision making, alternatives to guardianship, and how to maintain independent decision making to the fullest possible extent. Specifically, we will create an accessible website dedicated to resources about supportive decision making and we will provide in-person educational seminars to both persons with I/DD and supporters; including in the rural areas.
