Project Description:
The Institute on Disabilities Community Conversations, Connections and Counting project engages with the historically undercounted Latinx and disability communities to enhance Census participation. Census data is used to allocate as much as $1.5 trillion dollars every year to healthcare, education, infrastructure, and community programs. It also determines voting district boundaries, congressional seats and electoral college votes. Visit https://techowlpa.org/news/census-2020/ for vital Spanish and English Census information and resources tailored to the Latinx community with disabilities. Follow us on social media to learn more about easy ways to participate in the Census and make a positive impact on your community for the next decade. This project is made possible with generous support from the Philly Counts 2020 Action Fund in partnership with Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia.
