Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
Project Description:
A collaboration of the UAMS Department of Pediatrics, Partners for Inclusive Communities, the University of Central Arkansas and the Mississippi UCEDD to provide interdisciplinary training in neurodevelopmental disabilities to graduate students in Arkansas and Mississippi. LEND trainees select from twenty-two clinical options from which interdisciplinary teams are established. LEND trainees participate in problem based learning, conduct research activities, and perform a leadership project. LEND is utilized by the state Title V agency as continuing education hours for their staff nurses.
