PHARM - Micronutrients for ADHD in youth: The MADDY Study
Project Description:
The Micronutrients for ADD in Youth (MADDY) study is exploring the efficacy of a vitamin and mineral supplement as a nonpharmacological treatment for children age 6-12 with ADHD and emotional dysregulation.
NEED: Many children have an inbalance and/or inadequate diet lacking essential vitamins and minerals. This can have an effect on brain health.
GOALS: Test whether a multi-micronutrient supplement compared to placebo can alleviate symptoms of ADHD and emotional dysregulation.
BENEFITS: Relief of ADHD symptoms and better emotional self-regulation.
