Project Description:
The Oklahoma Family Support 360 Center was formerly a Project of National Significance in Family Support through the Administration on Developmental Disabilities. Currently funded through the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS), the project primarily serves Spanish-speaking families whose children have developmental disabilities and are Medicaid-eligible. The project connects families to eligible community, state, and healthcare resources based on their needs. Additionally, staff educate pediatric residents about how to effectively work with children with developmental disabilities and their families. This aspect of the project involves increasing residents knowledge about the eligibility requirements and application processes for various disability services in Oklahoma, as well issues related to poverty.
