Project Description:
The goals of this project include providing art workshops for adults with disabilities in Moscow so that they can learn how to create different forms of art as well as complete several projects using various artistic media. This project provides University of Idaho students with the opportunity to learn about and assist adults with disabilities in an art workshop setting, thereby connecting University of Idaho students and faculty to the community of adults with disabilities in Moscow. The entire goal of this project is to foster community outreach, specifically to adults with disabilities in Moscow, and to encourage student community involvement in an environment supported by the arts. The art workshops offered through this project are delivered by local Moscow artists who are paid through the grant. The finale of the project is to hold an Open House to the public and display all completed pieces of art in an art gallery setting.
