Project Description:
The Pediatric Residency Developmental Medicine Seminar Series, in collaboration with the Division of Developmental Medicine, provides residents, faculty and other interested persons an opportunity to obtain up-to-date information about developmental pediatrics. The series aims to assist pediatric residents in acquiring a general understanding and scope of neurodevelopmental disabilities, their identification, treatment, referral options and practices, therapies, interventions, and screening issues. The series provides an opportunity for clinical presentations, journal clubs and interdisciplinary discussions regarding family centered care. As a result of these sessions, participants will have an expanded knowledge base regarding challenges faced by children with developmental challenges and their families, and appropriately, empirically based responses.
